"The only problem was when we were leaving. The attendant (owner) was there while we were packing our truck. He followed me into the office when I was to check out. I barely said, "I'm checking out" before he started complaining about me parking in the handicap parking space, grumbling that some guests were complaining. I politely informed him that I'm disabled. He said, "You don't look like you're disabled!" I said, "What does that look like?" He couldn't answer. I went on to explain that I had a placard in my truck hanging on my mirror and that I just had a hip replacement, need another one, and have spinal stenosis. He seemed bothered by that and then told me I should have stayed in the disabled rooms on the bottom floor as if that had something to do with the parking. I replied that I always ask for a bottom floor but never get one. Then he mumbled that he didn't see my placard, but never uttered an apology. So much for a nice stay. Everything else was great!"

"I knew what I was getting into with a 1 star rating but for this trip price was the only factor, or so I thought. All I wanted was a clean bed and decent bathroom for a quick overnight stop. My entire family slept on top of the covers because no one wanted to sleep under the stained sheets. While the room had been freshly renovated they forgot the bathroom. There toilet seat was cracked and taped together. The shower was so nasty that no one wanted to enter it. Needless to say my wife and children were very displeased with me. But at least they got a story to share at future family reunions when they will say, “Remember the time dad made us stay in that awful place where no one got under the covers and everyone was to scared of the shower fearing they would leave more dirty when they finished?” Oh, I can’t wait to be reminded of this mistake over and over. I think sometimes price is not the most important thing."
