“Excellent place for big families”
Elmar's Cabin brings the kind of nostalgia you get in an old Baguio home (wooden floors, cool air, and the scent of pine). It is situated behind INC Magsaysay, along P. Burgos Street. They offer an 8-person room for around ₱3,000+, without breakfast included. We were six then but the room was still set-up for 8 persons. The room is clean and comfortable, with a hot shower available — a nice place to stay overall. While we haven't tried their breakfast, there's a cafeteria conveniently located beside the inn. Some suggestion I hipenthey would consider changing for the betterment of the guests stay. 1. Enhancing the lighting by using brighter bulbs and perhaps adding a bedside lamp for convenience during the night. 2. A thicker fleece blanket would also be appreciated, especially on cooler nights. 3. It would be great to have an additional small table for guests to comfortably eat, as the provided console table was a bit limited in space. 4. Adding Netflix or more cable channels would improve the entertainment options, since the current TV reception wasn’t very clear. 5. It would be great to have better ventilation in the bathroom. There’s a large window in the shower area that's covered by a curtain, but installing an exhaust fan would really help improve airflow. 6. There was also a minimal charge for each request for hot water. It might be more convenient for guests if a refillable hot and cold water dispenser could be provided, even if placed in a hallway. As for the staff, they were very accommodating. They even apologized for not having an extra flat sheet available, but kindly offered a bedsheet instead. I actually used it as an extra blanket since I’m not very comfortable with fleece blankets — that’s a personal preference and not their fault at all. Overall, our stay was excellent. Despite a few minor areas for improvement, the experience was well worth the room rate. The place has a charm that makes it worth coming back to.
