I’ve lost count of how many times we’ve booked with Malayan Plaza. The location is incredibly convenient and the rooms remain very affordable. The staff is accommodating, especially at the Executive Lounge during breakfast. The two gentlemen there are enthusiastic and provide superb customer service, ensuring we are comfortable and attended to at all times. However, I do have a few concerns. Some facilities feel outdated and require deep cleaning or repairs. Specifically, the internet connection in our room was so unstable that we couldn't hold online meetings and had to rely on mobile hotspots. Additionally, the bathroom towels provided were worn out; we actually had to request and pay for an extra towel that was in better condition. While the shower was clean, there were visible stains and no hairdryer. Regarding the breakfast buffet, the options are quite limited. I was hoping for pancakes or waffles, but none were available—though the dishes served were delicious. The room itself was spacious and the air conditioning was excellent. We will still book here, but we truly hope the management can update the facilities and replace the aging linens.
