From Hualien train station, you can book pick-up going to the resort. So it is hassle-free. The surroundings are huge, peaceful and quiet. You can have a lot of quiet time, jump on activities and explore. Very good place to stay.

“Neat overall, mostly well maintained but outdated infrastructure”
The hotel had a very european feel to it and was quiet and green. If you book this hotel, remember to close the wooden curtains otherwise you will have people enjoying the sights of you naked starting at 6am as there is no other defensive for sights. The hotel WiFi was messy. Instead of having a WiFi accessible throughout the hotel, they provided a secret SSID to enter, and when I tried, it did not work. I managed to connect to the TV's WiFi but that did not reach outside the room. I also could not get Netflix to stream on the rainy first day. Overall lovely hotel, but I wish they used more 2020s secure networking rather than marketing-security with just words and outdated techniques.
