I stayed one night in Chefchaouen. I took the bus from Tangier to Chefchaouen and arrived at the bus terminal. Since it was only about a 30-minute walk, I thought of saving on taxi fare, but it ended up being all uphill, haha. I recommend taking a taxi if you are a woman or have heavy suitcases. While walking, two kind people helped carry my luggage to the hotel, but when we arrived, they asked for 200 MAD (100 MAD per person), which seemed more like they were expecting a tip rather than being genuinely kind. The staff at the hotel were very nice and even offered to keep my luggage after checkout.
